Annette Yoshiko Reed is an Associate Professor in the Skirball Department of Hebrew and Judaic Studies and Program in Religious Studies at New York University. Her research focuses on angels, demons, apocalypses, and the afterlives of Second Temple Judaism in Late Antiquity and beyond. Current projects include a book on the beginnings of Jewish demonology.

This is the annual Tate Lecture in Judaic Studies presented by the department of religious studies.
