Sonia Lynne Salari, Ph.D., is an associate professor in the department of family and consumer studies at the University of Utah. Salary is a family sociologist with a specialty in gerontology.
In addition to more than 20 years of research and teaching in the area of family violence, she is a former North Carolina volunteer advocate for domestic violence victims. Sonia also has worked on elder mistreatment. She is author of more than 30 publications, and a book, Family Violence Across the Life Course: Research, policy and prevention
(2015, Kendall Hunt).
