Dean Nancy Gutierrez of the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences and Dean Steve Ott of Belk College of Business will greet alumni at an “open house” as part of UNC Charlotte’s inaugural Alumniner Weekend. The open house will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 9, at the Harris Alumni Center at Johnson Glen.
Alumni from both colleges are invited to enjoy casual networking and to learn about our programs and engagement opportunities. The open house will feature college displays and a light reception co-hosted by the deans on the back patio of the Center at Johnson Glen.
The event is part of a three-day weekend — Friday, April 8, through Sunday, April 10 — packed with exciting and fun activities for alumni and friends of the UNC Charlotte.
Among the lineup of weekend activities are an Alumni Awards Celebration, a conversation with religious studies professor Dr. James Tabor, a 50th Anniversary induction ceremony for graduates of the class of 1966, and a Green Tie Gala. Alumni also can enjoy brunch with the Chancellor, campus tours and parties. Sunday will be Niner Day at Carowinds, with special registration and prices for 49er alumni.
While most events are open without charge, registration is required, and there are charges for some events. Get more information about all events and pricing, and register here.
